I've always loved photos...moving or still. When I was a kid I was fascinated by our 3-D Viewmaster. I would look at magazine photos and wonder "how did they do that?!" Until three years ago I suffered through rolls of film where only a few photos weren't too embarrassing to show others. Then I bought a digital point and click camera. I discovered online photo editing. No more film! I purchased a Nikon D50 SLR camera and the whole world opened up. After taking several classes at a local photography school to learn how to use many of the D50's bells and whistles, and how to better compose photos, my instructors encouraged me to try anything. Every photoshoot is now a learning experience and I continue to watch for helpful workshops and training opportunities. Every opportunity I have I round up someone to photograph. I visit a park. I walk around the neighborhood. While I find all kinds of subjects intriguing, I am most interested in capturing people either by surprise or by design. Say "Cheese".
